Scale of destruction

Hundreds of bombs have been dropped on Lebanon since 16 September, killing over 3000 and destroying schools, streets, houses and residential buildings. Over a million people have been forced to flee, including Syrians and Palestinians who sought safety from war in Lebanon. Already, 100,000 people have fled into Syria, preferring to deal with the challenges across the border than the danger posed by airstrikes.

Our team in Lebanon responded immediately, providing hot meals in Saida, southern Lebanon. We’ve also been providing food parcels, hygiene kits and bedding to displaced families.

Human Appeal has been working in Lebanon since 2012, supporting communities through war, displacement, and the current crises. Our experienced staff collaborates with specialists to continuously assess and prioritise the most urgent projects. In 2023, thanks to your support, we helped a total of 4,366,480 people globally, including over 100,000 in Lebanon.
